Rules for GOTM nominations
- Garden must feature non-licensed character designs.
- The garden must feature a Garden Places Pin.
- The garden must be published on CuppaZee Gardens, or built using a publicly available spreadsheet which we will ask to be locked after being 100% deployed.
- We’re asking for ongoing nominations and we will release the winners throughout the year.
Based on your feedback, we've created a Google Form where you can submit GOTM nominations -- here's the link: https://forms.gle/SjUQeRxdi5FT81pCA
We'll still check the iloveyou@munzee.com inbox for stragglers, but please try to send your submissions to this new Google Form instead. Keep in mind that we take all former nominations into consideration for upcoming months. Just be sure your garden follows the nomination rules in order to be considered eligible!
How to Deploy in a Virtual Garden using CuppaZee Gardens
CuppaZee creator Sam Hindess has created an amazing tool that streamlines the process of building, finding, and filling virtual gardens around the world! Learn more about this amazing tool in our dedicated article here: Finding & Building Virtual Gardens with CuppaZee
However, if you encounter a Virtual Garden that has not been set up in or imported to CuppaZee Gardens yet, we've kept the old instructions below for reference!
How to Deploy in a Virtual Garden (Manual Process)
Step One: Choose a spreadsheet that contains coordinates mapped out by a Virtual Garden Builder. For this example we are using this spreadsheet. You will need to keep the spreadsheet open in one window and open your Munzee account in a separate window.
Step Two: Find an undeployed virtual munzee in your undeployed list. Access this via your online profile and click the undeployed tab. Select the type that is required for the garden.
Step Three: Click Edit Location on the munzee.
Step Four: Copy the coordinates for Latitude and Longitude from the spreadsheet.
Step Five: Paste the coordinates into the corresponding "Fine tune coordinates" boxes under the map picture on the Edit location. Click update.
Step Six: After the map has updated to show the new coordinate location, click Edit Munzee. Now you will want to update the name and any notes. After you have completed this and clicked update you will also want to click Deploy.
IF a color is needed instead of the plain white virtual you must now click Convert. If you have color credits you will see the options to choose a new color for your virtual. Be sure you choose the correct color that corresponds with the spreadsheet. It is not possible to change the color once you have converted it.
Step Seven: Many spreadsheets, like the one we have chosen, ask for username and the specific Munzee you've deployed. You will need to copy the Munzee name/URL link and paste it into the appropriate columns. You will find our example Munzee deployed in line 82 of this spreadsheet.
You may find several online communities that promote Virtual Garden building. Many are creative designs while others may just be organized collections of specific types of Munzees.
