Before You Start!
Here are some tips to make the most of your Daily Stroll:
- Make sure you have enough time -- the Daily Stroll takes 15 minutes, and while you can certainly quit early, you won't be able to start another one until the next day.
- Make sure you're in a walkable area -- avoid areas that are near private property, freeways, highways, waterways, etc. The Daily Stroll will randomly spawn Shooting Stars near you to capture, and it may spawn them in these unreachable areas if you start a stroll near them.
- The first few Shooting Stars will appear fairly close to your location, but the more Shooting Stars you cap, the farther they may spawn -- up to 1 mile from your starting location.
- You can use the Capture Radius Booster and Rover Treats to reach Shooting Stars. You must be within 300 ft (91.44 m) to capture a Shooting Star, like most munzees.
- Make sure you have less than 100 Star Credits -- otherwise, you won't be able to earn more. Use them at Wishing Wells!
- Use the Daily Stroll Types filter -- it can be hard to see the Shooting Stars that the Daily Stroll spawns, especially on a crowded map. We recommend turning off ALL filters, then turning on the Daily Stroll Types filter, as shown below:
How to Start Your Stroll
There are 2 ways:
- Tap on the wiggling star icon next to the [Camp Hub] button.
- Tap [Start Stroll] on the popup that appears.
- Tap on the [Camp Hub] button.
- Tap on the [Daily Stroll] button.
- Tap [Start Stroll] on the popup that appears.
How to Collect Star Credits
Most of the time, a Shooting Star should spawn near your location on the map.
- Tap on the Shooting Star.
- Tap the large pin button at the bottom of the screen to capture it, just like other virtual munzees.
- You should see a confirmation popup for capturing the Shooting Star.
- Shooting Stars are worth between 5 and 25 points per capture!
- You should also see a popup letting you know you've earned a Star Credit.
- The next Shooting Star should appear near your location on the map!
If you don't see the Shooting Star, you have the following options:
- Tap on the wiggling star icon next to the Camp Hub button -- this will center the map on the current Shooting Star's location, similar to how the button with the crosshairs icon on it centers the map on your current location.
- You may also notice that there is now a counter showing the current total of Shooting Stars you've captured during this Stroll!
- Change your filter settings to show only "Daily Stroll Types" as recommended above.
- Zoom the map in or out -- depending on how far you go, this will trigger the map to reload the pins nearby.
- Pan the map around -- depending on how far you go, this will trigger the map to reload the pins nearby.
When the 15 minutes is up, you'll see a popup showing the final total of Shooting Stars captured for the day:
