In some instances, you may come across a Munzee that is either missing or damaged. In either situation, the Munzee is no longer available to scan. Within the Munzee app, you have options that notify the owner of the Munzee's status.
To report a Munzee as Damaged or Missing, you'll need to leave a journal entry as "Needs Repair" or "Unable to Locate." Once a Munzee receives multiple instances of "Unable to Locate" or "Needs Repair," the Munzee will be placed in Maintenance Mode. The owner of the Munzee will have 30 days to replace the missing or damaged Munzee. Once the Munzee is replaced, you'll have the opportunity to scan it and get the points!
To log a Munzee as "Needs Repair", use the "Add Journal Entry" button from within the Munzee app. Select the appropriate drop down option for the Munzee, and provide details regarding your visit. The entry you leave will show as a highlighted entry under the Munzee's Journal Entry page.

***New players will not be able to leave either of these type of journal entries until they have captured at least 25 physical munzees. This allows time for the new player to gain the experience needed to find different types of hides.
