As Munzee players know, Virtual Munzees are special munzees that allow you to get points through munzees that exist virtually. With virtuals filling up the map around the world we created a specific type that exists on it's own layer of the map. These Temporary Virtuals are only available for a short amount of time before they're archived. These types are great for Munzee Events and to help other players capture munzees even if their area is full of munzees they've already captured!
There are the original Temporary Virtuals, as well as the Greeting Cards which are also temp virts.
About the Temporary Virtual
Original Temporary Virtuals expire 30 days after they have been deployed. That means you have to think carefully about when you buy them in order to deploy them at an optimal time. There is a timer to shows expiration online and in-app, similar to Myths/Nomads.
Temporary Virtuals can be purchased in the Freeze Tag Online Store. There is a limit of 40 Temporary Virtuals per account for every 30 days. Like the Flat Friends, Temporary Virtuals are on a new layer of the map, so you are able to deploy them in areas that are already covered by other munzees, both physical and virtual. Temporary Virtuals are available for Quick Deploy.
Points
- Deploy: 30
- Cap/CapOn: Split 75 with a minimum of 25 (i.e. 35 Cap, 40 CapOn)
Temporary Virtual Munzees are blastable. Their capture radius is 300ft, and their proximity rules are only affected by other Temporary Virtuals. You must deploy at least 50 feet from other Temporary Virtuals and 150 ft from your own. They do not have a proximity to any other type. Myths, Nomads, and other virtual specials will not land on Temporary Virtuals.
Why deploy a Temporary Virtual?
Temporary Virtuals were created to allow players to deploy in areas that would usually not be beneficial to place a more valuable game piece long term. Temporary Virtuals are very beneficial to deploy to help players reach goals. This is something that interactive players enjoy doing, since Munzee is a social game with a generous player community. Since Temporary Virtuals are on a separate layer of the map, you have the advantage of being able to deploy them in high profile areas, such as at major events where you know many players will be in attendance.
About Greeting Cards
Greeting Cards appear as plain envelope pins on the map. If you capture one, the image will update to show which Greeting Card type you captured. Greeting Cards expire 7 days after they have been deployed. If you deploy a Greeting Card munzee near someone, make sure they know about it! Like the Temporary Virtual above, there is a timer to show expiration online and in-app, similar to Myths/Nomads.
Greeting Cards can be purchased in the Freeze Tag Online Store. There is no limit of Greeting Cards per account. Greeting Cards are on the same layer as Temporary Virtuals, so you are able to deploy them in areas that are already covered by other munzees, both physical and virtual. Greeting Cards are available for Quick Deploy.

Why deploy a Greeting Card?
This unique munzee type is meant to work as a gift that players can deploy near one another to let them know they’re thinking about them. Like Temporary Virtuals, they have the advantage of allowing players to deploy in areas that would usually not be beneficial to place a more valuable game piece long term. Also like Temporary Virtuals, Greeting Cards are very beneficial to deploy to help players reach goals. This is something that interactive players enjoy doing, since Munzee is a social game with a generous player community.
