Evolution Munzees are designed to provide new munzees to cap for players who don’t live in Munzee-dense areas. The way they operate is when a certain threshold is met (i.e. time, number of captures, etc.) after the munzee is deployed, it will “evolve” into something new for players to cap. Once this occurs, players will be able to recapture said munzee as if it were a new munzee. Depending on the subset of the Evolution Munzee, this can occur multiple times.
There are currently a number of Evolution Munzee sets, including the Reseller Set that is available exclusively from Munzee Authorized Resellers, as well as other Evolution Munzees that have only been attained through our monthly MunzPak Subscriptions. Other Evolution Munzees can be found at the Freeze Tag Online Store. Below you will find a breakdown of the different Evolution Munzees currently in the game.

- At Stage 5, the Rose will be able to blossom into one of four different colors, the Tulip and Lily can both evolve to one of three color options, and the Carnation can evolve to one of five color options
- You are able to only capture each stage of the evolution once, but you do not have to capture each one in order.

Animal Evolutions
- Stages 1-4 of the Animal Evolutions are physical, with Stage 5 bouncing to virtuals and physicals as a temporary Player Owned Bouncer (POB)

- Temporary Animal POBs will be attracted to physical magnets and virtual magnets on their respective landing pads

- The first four stages will be the same, but will count as different special capture icons
- A temporary POB will be launched when the Evolution reaches Stage 4; using the Butterfly Evolution as an example -- the Chrysalis will become a Hatched Chrysalis and remain in place, while the Butterfly will be launched at the same time. It will “live” and bounce around for 42 days OR 10 captures, whichever happens first
- Similar to POBs, the Animal Evolutions will be available for multi-capture only as Stage 5. There will only be one capture allowed per stage for the first four stages
- The Animal Evolutions are non-blastable

Evolution Munzee Reset Credit
Another unique aspect of the Evolution Munzees is the ability to purchase an Evolution Reset Credit from the Freeze Tag Online Store. The Evo Reset Credit offers players the chance to return their Evolutions to Level 1 at their own discretion. Evo Reset Credits can be used once each on individual Evolution Munzee of any type.
This option is meant to allow new players the opportunity to cap early levels without archiving and deploying a new evo. This is a good tool for even more CapOn points on munzees you already own! These new reset evos will not allow other players to re-cap these munzees again, but the earlier stages will be available to players who have not capped that particular stage.
However the final stage of Flower and Butterfly Evos can be captured after a reset if it evolves to a different color than your previous capture. An easy way to know is if you see it one the map, you can capture it!
Using an Evo Reset credit is easy! Since you won’t have to go to the actual Evo’s location, this credit can only be used from the specific Munzee on the Munzee website. Simply go to that Munzee’s details page, scroll down, and you’ll see a button that says “Reset Evolution.” Just click that and you’ll be prompted to use the credit. This will then reset that Evo back to level one!
Remember that the Evolution Munzees are meant to promote growth in new and old areas, maintenance of these areas, and expansion of community involvement and interaction.
