This section is for players who are less experienced with account-based games. If logging in to everything is second nature for you, then feel free to skip to Capturing Your First Munzee.
Logging in on The Website
While both the app and website use the same information, logging in on the website won’t log you in on the phone or vice-versa.
The website is a great resource, has lots of great tools and features, but technically isn’t needed to play the game. You can simply take your phone on a hunt and pretend the website doesn’t even exist. If you do though, you’ll be missing out on all sorts of great things -- like printing and hiding your own Munzees.
To log into the site just enter your username and password exactly as you created them when you signed up. Passwords are case sensitive, so be careful with this step and make sure CAPS LOCK is off :).
[Caption: The login page. Both the menu mini-form and the main form will work.]
Once you’re logged in, your computer’s web browser will usually automatically remember you until you reset cookies. If you keep playing regularly you may never need to log in again!
Logging in on The App
To actually play the game you MUST be logged in on the app on your phone. There is simply no other way to capture or deploy Munzees.
The login process is the same as the website, and uses the exact same information. The password is still case sensitive, so you may have to try a few times if you’re not yet familiar with your phone’s keyboard.
The phone will also remember you until you install an update, so once done you should be able to avoid ever doing it again. The only time you’ll need to log in again is if you reset or change phones, or if you deliberately log out (perhaps to let a family member play too).
That’s it. Now it’s time to capture your first Munzee!
