Website Issues

These are the issues currently being reported after the latest backend update. We will continue to update this list as we review new support requests with additional reports, as well as work through to resolve each issue. If you've reported an issue, please check back here to see if it's still in progress or if it has already been resolved.

Recent Notes

PIN LOCATION DIFFERENT AFTER DEPLOYING ON THE WEBSITE?

  • WORKAROUND - Switch to satellite view and zoom all the way in as close as possible, then position the pin on the map before deploying. That way the location will be the closest to the intended coordinates.

New Features

  • If you changed your password on the Munzee website, we've updated the app so that you can continue to see munzees on the map and play. However, the app will need you to log in with your updated password at some point -- so once your authentication expires, you will be automatically logged out of the app. Don't forget what you've changed your password to!
  • We've added a new limit counter to the Misc. and Premium tabs, to indicate the number of times you've redeemed the items, since they are limited-purchase and once you've redeemed up to the limit, they will disappear as options for you from the Redeem Store.
  • You are now able to delete comments you've left on others' munzees, not just comments on your owned munzees!

        • NOTE - This may cause the issue of quick deploys online showing slightly off from where it was originally deployed on the map
        • WORKAROUND - First zoom in to the map all the way, as close as possible. Then move/place the pin and deploy. That way the location will be the closest to the intended coordinates. It may also help to use Satellite view to use other identifiable information like light poles, trees, etc.
      • Some captured munzees remain on the map even though the [exclude captured munzees] filter is active
      • Map loads slowly when there are a lot of pins

      • Unable to launch Quick Deploy menu for all Sandbox munzees except the first one
      • Changes to Undeployed Munzees are cached
      • Some users are unable to update their Home Location
        • NOTE - this was caused by a mismatch in e-mail addresses stored in our databases, which are case-sensitive. We've made updates so that any munzee accounts created in the future do not have this problem; however, if you do run into this issue please e-mail support@munzee.com so we can fix it for your account.
      • Quick Deploy process gets interrupted, resulting in "partially deployed" munzees (i.e. the munzee is deployed, but the deploy date is wrong, or the munzee is actually not deployed but it appears in the "One Day in Your Munzee Life" page, etc.)
        • NOTE - if you run into this issue, and your munzee was NOT deployed -- instead of using the Quick Deploy menu, you can just navigate to that munzee's Munzee Details page. From there you can navigate to the Edit Location page to set the location for that munzee, then navigate to the Edit Munzee page to deploy it.

      • Map appears blank in app after changing password on the Settings page
        • NOTE - this was because you need to log into the app with your new password. We've made a change so that you'll still be able to access everything immediately after changing your password, but once your account authentication expires, you'll be automatically logged out of the app and you'll need to log in again with your new password.
      • One Day In Your Munzee Life page does not add negative points correctly

      • Minimap Distorted when clicking the Fullscreen button
      • Unable to set Time and Go Live Time in 15-min increments

      • Munzee Details page slow to show updates (i.e. if you captured a bouncer and tried to visit its Munzee Details page, your capture wouldn't show right away)
      • Firefox: [<-- Previous] and [Next -->] buttons on One Day In Your Munzee Life page are not working correctly
