At the heart of Gauntlet Games are Guild Leaders, dedicated players who keep it all together. However, if you want to organize your own guild for the first time, then we’ll walk you through the process, which isn’t difficult at all. In order to create a guild, you will need to have a Premium Munzee membership, which you can purchase at anytime via the Freeze Tag Online Store.
Though the player who creates the guild will be assigned as the Leader, Leaders can then promote other members to help manage the guild. Anyone can be promoted to Leader, even players who don’t have a Premium Membership. When creating a guild, keep in mind that there are two main guild types: Casual Guilds and Level 1 to 5 guilds. Casual guilds do not have a specific level goal and may focus on just having fun, learning the game together, and playing with family and friends. On the other hand, level 1 to 5 guilds aim for a specific level.
The following information will walk you through the different aspects of the guild creation process.
Setting Guild Image, Name & Tagline
Under this section you have the opportunity to create a unique name and upload a custom image to represent your guild.

Square images work best, but the app will allow you to crop the photo if necessary. The tagline can be a short, fun motto and/or can be a useful tool for you to find specific types of players. For example, if you’re looking to find more local players in Texas, you could include the word “Texas” or letters “TX” in the tagline, so that when players use the Guild finder to search for either, your guild will pop up in the list for them. Putting the city or state in your tagline will assist in recruiting more local players if that is something you desire.
Choosing Guild Level Goal
Players who are using the app to search for a guild can sort by level goal so they can find the right type of guild for the time and effort they are able to commit. Guild Leaders can specify what level the group is aiming for.

Since there are individual challenges that require each member of the guild to complete specific tasks for Gauntlet Games before the guild can advance in a gauntlet game, guilds are only as strong as their weakest link. That’s why it’s important to make sure that all members of your guild have the same monthly goal in mind so that players are not left disappointed.
Guild Level Goal vs Current Level
The selected guild level goal will appear on the Roster tab in the colored box for everyone to see, as a reminder of what the guild is aiming to achieve. As your guild levels up during the gauntlet game, you will earn a border that appears around your guild image.

All guilds will start the gauntlet game at Level 0 without any border. Every level after that will have borders with stars that indicate the level number. For example, five stars would indicate that the guild is Level 5.
Choosing Guild Privacy
Now that players are able to use the app to search for guilds to join, Guild Leaders are able to choose a privacy setting that gives them more control over how that process is handled. If a guild is set to public, anyone can join at anytime. If a guild is set to private, anyone can find the guild, but can only send a request to join, which must be approved by a Guild Leader. If a guild is set to hidden, the guild will not appear in any search lists. The only way for players to join a hidden guild is to be invited by a Guild Leader.

When you’re ready, tap on “Create” to publish your new guild. You may edit any of the guild information at anytime from the Roster tab by using the menu in the top right corner.
